Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
1) Lead a team of project managers and report to the product director in China. Manage the project budget including all project based investment and expenditure.
2) Responsible for delivering over $30M new product revenue every year across several product lines, managing over a hundred global projects (automotive, healthcare, industrial, etc.
3) Interface with major OEMs, tier 1 system suppliers and other customers. Manage and meet customer expectation on NPI project delivery, quality, performance, cost and time.
4) Champions, execute and continuous improve global project management process. Drive the cross functional team to follow the process and above all deliver the results.
5) Control project scope, time, cost and quality over the project duration. Apply global project management knowledge and drive adoption of adequate tools in all projects.
6) Assess commercial & technical risks of the projects and escalate decision needs to management to mitigate or solve the problem
7) Participate in nomination, performance evaluation, and support further qualification of project team members; Provide project status updates to customers and management team; Participate BCR in an opportunity early phase to support business to make decision.
Qualifications Required
1) More than 5 years project management experience of major automotive NPI projects. Very familiar with automotive industry standards and qualifications such as PPAP, APQP, AEC-Q100/200, IATF16949 etc.
2) Have proven skills in leadership, result orientation, cooperation, people management and communication as well as Project Management Methods; extensive knowledge in Project Management theories and tools
3) Highly energetic and proactive self-starter; Enjoy working in a fast-paced challenging global team; Want to work independently making decision and taking ownership/responsibility
4) Good ability to run NPI process, configuration management and change management in the project; good know-how in contracting and commercial practice;
5) Good social and leadership skills in a matrix organization and excellent cross-functional team management skill;
6) Smart, clear thinking and solid logical skills; have fundamental engineering knowledge & exposure, quick learner and adapt to new technology & application quickly
7) Familiar with products in Temperature, Pressure, Gas & Moisture area is preferred
8) Excellent team worker, good commercial, costing and EHS sense
9) Proficient Chinese and English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
10) Can work under pressure, and 25% travel load
