PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

In this position you will lead  projects and project teams impacting the Abbott Ireland Diagnostics Division (AIDD) Sligo Site operations. The ideal candidates will have a strong working knowledge of Operations/Engineering and/or Quality. He/she will lead projects across Capacity, Capital, Compliance, Continuity, Cost and Division and will get the opportunity to work across AIDD Sites and Division in Ireland and globally.

This is a highly visible impactful role with a strong career trajectory to Senior Leadership.  We are looking for ambitious, results driven and goal focused team members who want to grow their career within the AIDD Division.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • To ensure the smooth completion of site projects or project transfers from other Abbott sites into AIDD Sligo.
  • Work collaboratively with Sligo functional groups, CFTs and other site Project Managers to develop project plans.
  • Establish timeline and required Project Management tools for Projects by leading the team in compiling the input for required deliverables.
  • Manage execution of project plan timeline to ensure all elements are completed by cross–functional team on time.
  • Provide monthly report outs to Site Leadership team on project progression and/or challenges
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met for all projects.
  • Evaluate impact of project changes and adjust implementation activities as required with required contingency plans implemented and executed.
  • Optimize the use of human resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication, and effective teamwork.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher In Technical/ Engineering/ Quality/Business.
  • Broad experience in areas such Project Management, Operation and or Quality
  • History of successful project delivery in several different areas of the business.
  • Working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment with project management skills as this provides a good foundation for this job function.
