The Lokelma Supply Site (LSS) has recently remodeled office space to provide a cheerful office environment to support varying work styles and collaboration needs. LSS has an on-site cafe with a selection of snacks and refrigerated grab and go items for purchase. Additionally, the site offers a food delivery service, allowing employees to purchase food from a variety of local restaurants to be delivered to the site, which currently includes a discounted price for LSS employees.

The Project Manager/Project Engineer will lead and manage site projects of medium to high complexity. Lead all aspects of and coordinate project activities, budgets, personnel and work with other departments to meet deadlines and project goals for a particular business proposal within set resources and under firm deadlines. Involves setting project goals, establishing tasks and timeline for completion by assigned parties, evaluating progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure that clients, internal or external, achieve their desired results. Work with senior leaders to establish project scope, goals and objectives. In addition, develop business cases for projects and initiatives, be able to estimate cost and resource needs and determine cost/benefit of each.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensures compliance of self and others to internal and external regulations.
  • Follows AZ’s financial policies, manages people resources to policy requirements and delivers budgets.
  • Optimizes performance outcomes of direct reports and ensures individuals understand the contribution they make.
  • Understands the big picture and connects individuals to it in a meaningful way.
  • Is accountable for ensuring compliance is understood and maintained across own functional area. Organization & Personnel (to ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to need)
  • Strives to continuously improve the established ways of working
  • Accountable for on time/on budget project delivery, aligned with key project partner expectations. Has a strong command of project management principles and best practices. Understands, uses and contributes to site PMO training materials and tools. Able to lead site project teams. Ensures the project team follows site project governance processes. Monitors compliance to PMO processes and drives corrective actions.
  • Maintains open communications with site functions pertaining to project governance, training, resource management and allocation, project metrics and resource conflict resolution. Ability to lead multiple projects within diverse environments. Ability to solve complex business problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where little standardization exists. Responsible for completing necessary change control documentation to implement changes within a cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Accountable for successful engineering design and implementation throughout project lifecycle. Ability to work with contractors in electrical/controls/instrumentation, piping and mechanical subject areas to achieve project goals and be able to work with various forms of engineering drawings, create red-line drawings as needed and work with drafting personnel to create as-builts drawings.

Essential for the role:

  • BS in Engineering or Science
  • 2+ years Project Management experience or Running Engineering Initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience in Medical Device, Pharma, Biotech manufacturing environment or Food and Beverage Industry, in an Engineering role
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Project development and presentation skills

Desirable:

  • Project Management Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Bachelor degree w/Project Management Concentration
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business
