Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our IT Team in Siemens Mobility. As a Project Manager, you will plan, complete, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. In this key role will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. You will drive the administration and enhancement of the systems within Siemens in the UK and EMEA region. Based on PM@Siemens guidelines you will be responsible for the introduction and further development of installations. You will co-ordinate project activities with participating business departments, IT specialist departments as well as external developers and suppliers. This is a hybrid role with a base location being in sunny Poole in Dorset however we can consider applications near our other office in Chippenham, Wiltshire. This is your role. What part will you play? Define project scope, goals and results that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and customers Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to team members and partners in a timely and clear fashion Plan and schedule project timelines and achievements using appropriate tools and track results Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and solve problem areas Define project success criteria and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary Prepare system implementations, updates and support tool analysis, tests, documentation, debugging and error correction Direct and manage project development from beginning to end Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project What skills and experience you will need in this role Essential University degree and Certification in a project management field Extensive experience in project management, including all aspects of process development and execution Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, flexible during times of change Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment Someone who is persuasive, encouraging and motivating with good interpersonal skills Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing Willing to learn, understand and apply new technologies Preferred Ideally, you are experienced in project and service management including incident management, error categorization and analysis in interaction with internal teams or suppliers in engineering and manufacturing You convince us with distinctive expertise in SAP and document management, in data modelling with the Business Modeler IDE, the definition of queries (Query Builder), output of reports (bill of materials, forms, workflows) and in BOM management You possess skills and methods to describe processes and their realization in technical uses cases, user stories and workflows are desirable Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity Customer service skills are an asset IT Integration experience is desired Furthermore, knowledge in SAP, web, cloud and database technology e.g. SAP ECC 6.0 & S4 Hana About us We are Siemens.
