Eaton’s Information Technology division is currently seeking a Project Manager – Infrastructure Edge Delivery to join our team. This position can be based at any Eaton facility in the U.S. and is eligible for a hybrid work setup. We are currently seeking a Project Manager - Edge Delivery to join our Infrastructure Services organization. The candidate can be based out of any Eaton facility in the United States. This role is responsible for leading impactful and complex projects that directly impact the productivity of Eaton sites and employees globally. The Edge Delivery Project Manager will deploy Edge Technologies that include servers, storage, and wired/wireless networking. This involves executing projects across the globe with remote resources and ensuring business objectives are met. This role is critical to ensuring that Eaton's IT Infrastructure is kept up to date to support Eaton's Digital Transformation objectives while enabling continued business growth. In this function you will: Utilize various project management methods including Agile (Scrum/Scrum Master, Kanban, etc.), Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches to effectively manage projects in this space and deliver value Plan, control and execute project requirements following Eaton-prescribed processes (Agile Scrum and PMBOK) to ensure business objectives are met Work with Resource Managers to staff projects Define and communicate roles for project team members (functional/technical) Establish project budget, track spend and communicate current, and project burn rates Work with customers and technical resources to develop project plans, detailing work break down structures and critical path Ensure that requirements are contained within defined scope Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency in execution Key Responsibilities: Ensure successful delivery of projects by architecting, staffing, governing, utilizing the appropriate delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) based on situational needs Draft the project charter; ensure requirements are aligned with the scope and approved by the sponsor Work with resource managers to staff projects. Define and communicate roles for project team Develop the project plan with direct input from stakeholders that details the work break down structure, critical path, resources, and effort. Ensure stakeholders are committed to the plan Establish project budget; capital hardware, software, and labor; expense labor and non-labor Develop communication strategies with key stakeholders Manage employee, contractor, and supplier deliverables to ensure the project is completed on time per the schedule approved at Gate 2 Manage the project budget; track effort and green dollar spend; correlate actuals and forecast to the plan (burn rate) Lead communications with key stakeholders. Monitor and report on schedule and budget variances. Ensure all communications related to implementation are completed Document and drive issues through resolution; escalate to customers, suppliers, and Eaton management as necessary Develop and manage the implementation plan including production verification. Manage issues at go-live and through warranty period Ensure sign-off on all major system deliverables by stakeholders Ensure all invoices are received and processed Ensure smooth transition to support and that the CMDB is updated Lead and document lessons learned with all pertinent stakeholders; review missed estimates with resource managers If a capital project, ensure CAR is closed Drive and manage the continuous improvement of team activities and culture, applying lessons learned and enhancing playbooks, tools, templates, and processes When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required. A minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience. No relocation is provided for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of any Eaton location in the United States to be considered for this opportunity. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a continuous basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: PMP Certification preferred Agile/Scrum Master Certification preferred A minimum of 8 years of work experience in the IT field Position Criteria: Excellent communications skills both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Skilled at delegating tasks as needed to manage multiple projects Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset Strong project management background, including knowledge in PMI and Scrum methodologies and product centricity. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile project management, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, certification strongly preferred Basic understanding of some of the Edge IT Infrastructure products Basic understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems for a division and/or region or function Basic Understanding of how to acquire and assimilate industry software practices and standards Basic technical knowledge and basic understanding of computer hardware and software, data management, application programming, data communications, operating systems, utilities, and data security Digital toolset experience, ideally ServiceNow, Power BI, Power Query, Jira, Confluence, etc. At Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent.
