What you will do
 

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will support the execution of manufacturing & quality systems such as productivity/capacity projects, trainings, and business processes. Apply operational, science based, basic compliance knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills to support manufacturing operations. May serve as the main contact for operational excellence and assist on problem solving in more complex processes and systems at AML1 Inspection and Packaging-Drug Product Manufacturing areas.
 

Specific responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

  • Applies knowledge of Operational Excellence principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
  • Recommends improvements, develops business cases and capability studies, and presents proposals to management.
  • Assess process performance, review of performance data and facilitate Plant Business Review.
  • Lead AML1 Safety, Environmental Sustainability and Business Continuity Programs.
  • Responsible for supervising, hiring, and developing staff.
  • Lead or support implementation of Plant projects or initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Internal/External Customers, Managers, Operations Leaders, Financial Representatives, Manufacturing Leaders and Staff during execution of plans, new initiatives, and/or routine tasks.
  • Supports idea generation in functions to ensure a pipeline of ongoing projects and pending ideas to align with short- and long-term objectives.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in network benchmarking (learning / sharing).

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of manufacturing operation support and/or project management experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of manufacturing operation support and/or project management experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of manufacturing operation support and/or project management experience

OR

High School diploma / GED and 12 years of manufacturing operation support and/or project management experience
 

Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Educational background in Engineering and/or Business Administration.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient on LEAN Manufacturing methodologies and in-depth knowledge of other Continuous Improvement methodologies along with practical experience with their application.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in Spanish and English, including ability to prepare presentations for top management.
  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to execute and lead sophisticated projects and programs.
  • Computer Literacy; advanced Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and management of databases such as Spotfire and/or Smartsheet.
