Job Description

Project Manager, PMO & Business Performance

In coordination with the Executive Director, PMO & Business Performance, direct, administer, guide, develop and provide control over accounting and finance related activities of the HUB which includes, but not limited to: invoicing, capital planning, budgeting, purchases, and forecasting while ensuring that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed.

What you will be doing:

  • In coordination with the Executive Director, PMO & Business Performance:
    • Responsible for overseeing and leading projects for the region and for ensuring they are being executed at full potential with emphasis on senior stakeholder's communication & relationship
    • Work with business and technology leaders, assess options for coordinating Project Management activities, procedures and systems to promote common policies and practices
    • Coordinate efforts between various departments
    • Develop criteria for field projects and establish methodologies and metrics
    • Implement best practices and tools for project management
  • Promote technology and innovation - providing leadership, direction & guidance
  • Ensure IT brand standards and practices are understood and adhered to in project implementation
  • Ensure compliance with the appropriate corporate policies (i.e. PCI, Security and Change Management)
  • Follow IT governance practices as defined in the HUB 
  • Contribute to Technology Services knowledgebase
  • Be able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Involved in hotel integration projects as required
  • And perform other duties as required

Your experience and skills include:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • PMP Certification or Prince 2 or working towards it
  • 3+ years proven expertise in project management 
  • Demonstrate high level of managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communications required (verbal and written); 
  • Good presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written (for specifications and documentation) 
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, and maintain a positive reputation
  • Organized, proactive and innovate with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Inspired leader with teamwork approach
  • Ability to ensure the project implementation/execution improves operational efficiency, reduces cost and improves client satisfaction
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) 
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated Leadership ability
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a high volume, high stress environment
  • Self-starter; displaying initiative; highly organized
  • Relationship building; influence skills
  • Strong conceptualization, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity 
  • Ability to handle and be comfortable with ambiguity

Your team and working environment:

  • A hybrid role based at the North & Central America Regional Office in Toronto, ON  and home office in Canada .
  • This position is part of the NCA Regional Technology team
