Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Project Manager to become a valued member of our User Success Services team.

The role of the Project Manager is to plan and manage large and/or high-risk projects to time and within budget from project start through to project close. A Project Manager is responsible for understanding/managing the user expectations, assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying the required resources and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.  The Project Manager ensures adherence to quality standards and internal Bentley methodologies.

 

Location:  This position is remote, based from a home office in Brazil.

 

 Your Day to Day:

  • Prepare project scope (how the project will be managed, assumptions, dependencies and constraints), execution plans and costing for services components of all proposals including the necessary MS Project plan – if asked to participate in proposal phase.
  • Manage all projects achieving baseline man-hour estimate, excluding contingency, plus approved/agreed EAC changes and are on or ahead of baseline schedule (including approved schedule changes).
  • Define the resources needed to effectively execute the project.
  • Ensure proper and regular use and maintenance of the Enterprise Project Management & Professional Services Automation tools and data.
  • Agree project success and acceptance criteria with all involved parties.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using change management procedures.
  • Manage external and internal stakeholders through effectively communicating project plans, progress, expectations, risks, assumptions and dependencies in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project.
  • Manage assumptions, dependencies and constraints.
  • Identify and manage risks through mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and escalate as required.
  • Ensure that revenue forecasts are updated weekly for all active projects for a rolling 3-month period minimum. 
  • Review, manage and approve timesheets, travel requests, and expense reports for project team members.  This includes the timely submittal of travel requests, time entries and expense reports for project managers.
  • Provide accurate support for all invoicing, checking the invoices are correct before sending to the user; perform accurate revenue recognition (accruals/release from deferral).
  • Provide a smooth transition to software technical support upon completion of product roll-out at user site
  • Conduct project lessons learned and post appropriate items to the knowledge repository.
  • Achieve appropriate customer satisfaction.
  • Act as mentor to project managers and project coordinators.

 

 What You Bring To The Team: **Please submit your CV in English**

  • Bilingual in English and Portuguese
  • University degree, college diploma in a technical field, or relevant industry experience.
  • Certifications in Project Management: PMP or PRINCE2 required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a Project Manager capacity, leading geographically dispersed and cross-cultural teams.
  • Experience with both fixed price and T&M projects
  • Experience as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders for both fixed price and T&M projects
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project.
  • This role requires travel up to 25%
  • Experience in project execution including: Scope definition, roles and responsibilities, preparation of execution plans, estimates and resource loaded schedule, progress and performance metrics, reporting and action item tracking, change control, assessment of risks and risk management, stakeholder management, backlog management
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to work with remote teams and managers
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the user organization.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, motivating and flexible during times of change.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including presentation skills in both Portuguese and English
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills, possessing diplomacy and business judgment.

 

Desired Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing projects with an Agile methodology is desired
  • Agile certification desirable
  • Exposure to Success Management or objectives and value-driven delivery in previous roles
  • Spanish is a strong plus.
