Responsible for / Main Duty:

The PjMSp has the responsibility for the successful execution of customer and R&D projects. His/her main task is the technical execution of the project in the field of Battery electric vehicle development including system design, SW development, System Integration and calibration.

PMSp will monitor and track project advancement as well as manage project risk.

PMSp will provide project advancement synthesis and highlight critical path to AVL and customer top management.

Strategic / Business Development Tasks

• Support for offer preparation as early involved Project Manager, alignment with involved Department Leaders

• Participation at sales and acquisition meetings with customers in China

• Participations and presentation at conferences regarding hybrid or demonstrator vehicle topics.

Operational Tasks:

• Responsible for effective communication with the customer during project execution

• Project execution according to the content of the contract using most efficient methods, processes and know how from AVL group.

• Controls and monitors project execution via AVL toolchain.

• Reports to leader of Project Managers regarding project management issues (budget, progress, priority questions, resources, co-ordination etc)

• Project reporting to customer and AVL internally

• Main focus on Battery electric vehicle development project.

• Alignment with Electrification Skill team and PM team in Graz, Austria for Process know how transfer
  

Rights and Responsibilities:

• Achievement of project targets (technical, cost, quality, time and customer satisfaction)

• Authority of overall budget control – build up reserves, release and limit budget

• Authority to form the project team jointly with department leaders (escalation to leader of Project Managers, and steering committees)

• Responsible for applying appropriate tools and methods

• Authority and responsibility to request and to follow escalation procedures according to process

Qualification:

• Master Degree in mechanical engineering or similar

• 5 to 10 years successful completion of complete powertrain development program preferably Battery electric vehicle

• Deep understanding of Battery electric vehicle specificities in term of validation, safety and homologation in China.

• Excellent communication skills in English mandatory, skills in French preferred.

• Willing to travel within and outside China.

• Experience in system design preferred.
