About The Role:
The Project Manager will manage highly visible and critical projects, delivering against project goals efficiently and effectively. The candidate must be able to apply advanced project management expertise experience to lead a project and achieve results.

Key Responsibilities: 

* Operational Excellence – Experience of managing all types of projects, often complex or critical projects, establishing the overall objectives and approach (e.g., financial targets, project methodology, resourcing and staffing, and deliverables.) Is the main contact for the project and ensures all aspects of the project are meeting agreed objectives. Leads a project and their teams who are responsible for the variety of work streams, often spanning multiple organizations. Leads the project team in executing all project deliverables, resolving issues and handling stakeholder relations. 

* Delivers Quality, Value, Results – Applies project management and functional expertise to complex and/or critical projects to ensure clear expectations are set, an effective course of action is in place, and timeline and financial goals are met. Works closely with the project team and stakeholders to proactively monitor and adjust complex aspects of the plan to ensure success. An appreciation and understanding of Business Change principles and approaches are essential.  Independently resolves most issues and/or quickly escalates to the appropriate person, following it to resolution. 

* Functional Excellence – Identifies opportunities for improvement, especially across broad and complex processes, which have a significant impact on results. Helps to develop expertise within the project management function by coaching and mentoring others and providing performance feedback. 

* Relationship Building – Develops positive stakeholder relationships and serves as the main point of contact. Partners with internal organizations to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.

Job Specific Responsibilities: 
Project Management Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
o Liaising with internal business and technical teams to ensure business requirements are defined, documented and delivered. 
o Managing relationships and contracts with third-party technology suppliers/partners
o Owning and managing all project management deliverables including the delivery plan and RAID logs, as well as matrix management of project resources. Managing and mitigating risks and issues and tracking all decisions/dependencies.
o Agreeing project governance, suitable for the project, and ensuring that it is aligned with the Project Governance Framework.
o Performing stakeholder analysis and building a stakeholder communication plan for stakeholders across the business.
o Managing projects from vision through requirements, design, build, and test and post implementation support (including an appropriate gating process).
o Ensuring smooth handover over all agreed deliverables.
o Supporting the business owner in tracking and monitoring benefits realization against planned targets


Qualifications & Experience:
* Prince 2 Project Management certification (or equivalent) at Practitioner level
* Experience of leading large sized cross-functional IT projects and programmes (both budget and complexity), following a known project management methodology.
* Experience in leading a variety of large IT projects in multiple disciplines.
* Excellent Stakeholder Management & communication Skills
* Demonstrable problem-solving skills with ability to facilitate problem solving discussions & workshops.
* Ability to prioritise and manage deliverables, and teams in a high-pressure environment to maintain critical path and meet stretching goals.
