Job Overview
Amgen Singapore Manufacturing Pte Ltd (ASM) - Business Performance group is on the search for a Project Manager, Strategic Planning and Operations. The Business Performance group drives business analysis, ASM performance reporting, project management, site risk management/ business continuity, and enables key cross-functional initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Manage all aspects of multiple projects/processes to include planning, estimating, scheduling, tendering, monitoring, reporting, risk management facilitation, execution, invoicing, and closeout. Maintain a master project plan and schedule for assigned projects. Translate team plans into actionable and measurable tasks. Lead related steering committees and project meetings. Ensure a timely and clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Perform as project manager within the business performance organization during cross-functional initiatives (lean transformation, capacity increase projects, etc.) and leading Technical Transfers/ NPI projects.
- BUSINESS CASES: lead cross-functional teams to conduct facility fit assessments for new product candidates. Including process analysis, equipment, resources, logistics, raw materials, etc. Able to analyze multiple inputs and interrelations; synthetizing the information and insights into executive summaries and presentations for senior management.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP - Promote personnel safety throughout project activities. Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements. Provide operational leadership in team meetings and identify cross-functional implications, risks and issues. Ensure strategic alignment between project teams and ASM Site Goals.
- Adaptable and motivated to grow and support potential development areas within the Business performance scope: Project Management Capabilities (mentor and guide colleagues throughout project lifecycles, facilitate Project Portfolio governance and prioritization sessions for senior management, etc.) and Risk Management and Business Continuity plans (act as risk facilitator, manage risk register, ensure governance, facilitate annual roadmap definition, etc.)
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business management with 5+ years’ experience in the life sciences industry
- Master’s degree in engineering, science, or business management with 3+ years’ experience in the life sciences industry
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of experience in Biological operations; experience in Technical Transfers/ NPI preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of life sciences industry, drug development, technical transfers/ NPI and manufacturing. Project Management experience utilizing disposable (single use) bio-manufacturing technology preferred
- Self-starter with a high-level of comfort with ambiguity and complexity
- Demonstrated ability to structure, pragmatically scope, and solve complex problems
- Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally in an organization
- Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Preferred: PMP Certification
