Job Role

In-charge of the designated area for recycling project. Assist the Logistics Manager/ Assistance Logistics Manager with the operational activities of the assigned recycling unit (i.e. 3 color bin, waste paper and plastic). He/she will supervise the logistics staff of the assigned recycling unit, assigning tasks to drivers and helper, take up the supervisory role to oversee the recyclables collection work on site, record details and perform other duties for performance of the services. Finally he/she will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and provide proper training to reporting staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily collections and delivers of assigned recycling unit, ensure all reporting staff work efficiently, prepare daily operational schedule for efficient vehicle fleet and minimize operating costs
• Supervise logistics activities such as travel distance, fuel consumption, penalty tickets, etc.
• Assist the Logistics Manager/Assistance Logistics Manager in handling drivers and helper on daily operations and welfare matters
• Identify inefficiencies within logistics, provide corrective recommendations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain quality and safety standards
• Help promote teamwork and resolve labour and individual issues in a timely manner within assigned recycling unit
• Report issues and incidents to Logistics Manager/Assistance Logistics Manager
• Perform tasks as required.

Requirements

• Holder of Cert/ Dip/ Degree of a environment related course organized by funded institution or higher education intuitions recognized under the Education Bureau
• At least 3 years’ experience in field of recycling / waste management
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solving
• Strong sense of responsibilities; good interpersonal and organizational skills
