Education Infrastructure Division
Salary : $70,590 per month (Gratuity : 10%) (Contract Period : 2 years)
Duties : (a) To implement research projects on the development of knowledge structures and resource materials, including learning resources and assessment tasks and questions, for the Mathematics subject for Student Adaptive Learning (SAL) and follow up on the progress and outcomes of the research projects; (b) To plan for projects on promoting SAL in the Mathematics subject for primary and junior secondary students, and provide school-based support to primary and secondary schools participating in the projects to enhance learning, teaching and assessment; (c) To map out the validation process of assessment tasks and questions for primary and junior secondary students for the Mathematics subject for the SAL system, including setting up related committees; (d) To assist in the construction of the SAL system in collaboration with professional organisations and/or tertiary institutions; (e) To provide assistance in conducting professional development programmes for teachers and public education activities on SAL for different stakeholders to improve learning and teaching and enhance assessment literacy; and (f) To perform other duties as assigned.
Entry Requirements : (a) A Hong Kong bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a Bachelor of Education degree majoring in Mathematics, or equivalent; (b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent; (c) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [See Note], or equivalent; (d) At least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in teaching and/or curriculum development in the subject of Mathematics at primary or secondary level; and (e) Preference will be given to candidates with (i) good communication and interpersonal skills; (ii) good computer skills; and (iii) knowledge and experience in development of resource materials for learning and assessment at primary and/or secondary levels with the use of multimedia. [Remarks : Successful candidates are expected to assume duty in or before October 2019.]
