SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Department of Management

The appointee will provide administrative support to the functions and events organised by the Department of Management and general office duties as assigned. Main duties include: (a) assist in the planning, organisation and implementation of academic and networking events organised by the Department, such as workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences, and receptions; (b) assist Concentration Coordinators in organising events and activities for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including recruitment and programme promotion; (c) liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties for departmental, school, or University events and activities; and (d) provide support for post-implementation reviews and follow-up.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. Experience in organising and managing events is essential. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and including Cantonese and Putonghua; possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work independently, reliably and flexibly. The appointee should be creative and self-motivated; proficient in operating programmes for graphic design and Microsoft Office, and social media. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Applicants with less qualification or experience will be considered for the post of Project Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
