Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy

The Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Project Officer.

The appointee will be responsible for all aspects of the Centre’s administration and operation. Major duties include organising seminars, conferences and other activities/events, liaising with external partners and organisations, providing executive and administrative support to the Centre’s consultancy and research projects, providing research assistance, and to collaborate with the MSc in Corporate Governance and Compliance Programme. He/She may occasionally be required to work outside normal office hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above with at least three years of work experience and a good command of spoken and written English. Good knowledge of computer applications (including word-processing, Excel, PowerPoint and web-page management) is necessary. The ideal candidate should have a problem-solving mindset, outgoing personality, ability to work independently, attention to details, strong ability to manage multi-tasks and meet deadlines. He/She should be a good team player and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research assistance, project management, or event coordination. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
