Eaton is looking for a Project Quotations Specialist to join its team in Mississauga, ON
Position Overview:
The Project Quotations Specialist will utilize a combination of customer and distributor support techniques to achieve orders and sales objectives for electrical solutions to customers. Key responsibilities include accurate specification interpretation and development of professional quotations and bill of materials (BOMs) using sound business and technical judgment in alignment with distributor policies, modules, and field strategies.

In this function you will:
- Produce complete, accurate and on-time quotes based on plans and specifications using all Eaton pricing and customer management tools
- Proactively quote alternates to provide more competitive offers to contractors
- Maintain proper communication with internal customers, including price and product feedback on both commercial and technical issues
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with field sales representatives
- Track negotiation and order hit rate activity enabling field management and outside sales representatives to monitor for customer /distributor effectiveness
- Promote the use of electronic tools
- Provide technical and application assistance to users and distributors
- Monitor flow of project business in assigned area and communicate needs and workload requirements as necessary to field sales personnel
- Close orders using selling skills, follow-up and technical expertise
- Build relationships with distributors and customers to enhance long-term business prospects
- Create and implement strategies to maximize success in winning project tenders through sales, distributor, consultants, general contractors and end-users
- Work as a part of the project sales team to drive best practices, processes and systems, which improve efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- College Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of customer service experience. Experience with electrical distribution and control products preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 kilometers of the Mississauga, ON, Canada facility will be considered
Preferred qualifications:
- Bilingual in French and English is preferred
- P.Eng designation
Position Criteria:

- Strong communication, problem solving, planning and organizing, collaborative approach, leadership skills, and ability to multi-task
