Eaton’s electrical sector is currently seeking a Project Sales Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga facility. Position Overview: The Project Sales Representative is responsible for achieving assigned sales goals, consistent with the expectations of a sales professional, for the assigned product categories / segments. While the Projects team is primarily focused on quoting large, high-complexity, Ontario-based opportunities, this individual will also be required to quote select Major projects from across Canada. The successful incumbent is expected to drive sustainable growth in sales and market share within the region, while maximizing price realization/profitability. This role is expected to build close relationships with customers and distributors to enhance sales volume and exceed customer expectations. It is essential to understand major competitors’ tactics, organization, distribution strategy and pricing, while keeping management informed of trends and changes. In this function you will: Achieve assigned team order entry and sales (shipment) objectives Establish & nurture strong relationships with key customers and distributors, negotiating/closing assigned projects Prepare sales proposals/quotations, in line with customer needs & expectations, based on review of project RFQ specifications & single-line diagrams Build and maintain an acute awareness of competitors’ products, tactics, strategy, pricing, and their competitive position, as a key input to short and long-term District & Division operating plans Manage opportunity pipeline, and provide input to monthly product line forecasts as required Collaborate with Ontario Area Sales Managers, Outside Sales Reps. and Application Engineers, to ensure strategic alignment and deliver winning solutions for key projects/opportunities When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. *MSJA #LI-ED2 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution Minimum 3 years of electrical industry experience, in a sales or comparable customer-facing capacity Possess a valid, unrestricted, driver’s license Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered for this position Preferred qualifications: Electrical or Power Systems Engineering Degree or Engineering Technology Diploma strongly preferred Prior Commercial Construction and/or Industrial Sales experience would be an asset Position Criteria: Strong technical & business acumen; Understanding of electrical distribution & control systems Keen negotiation skills; Ability to cope with ambiguity and overcome challenges Excellent written and oral communication skills, and professional presence; Truly a team player Analytical aptitude - ability to think critically with proven problem-solving skills Customer orientation, ability to understand, communicate and meet customer needs; Truly embodies growth mindset Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment; Effective time management skills, and ability to multi-task We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
