What will your main responsibilities include:

• Translating, editing and proofreading various documents from English (US) into Chinese

• Translating and reviewing EN(US)-zh-CN translations of all items published on Allegro

• Setting and maintaining the standard for language quality at Allegro and performing quality assurance of translated documents in accordance with Allegro terminology and Allegro functionalities

• Post-production work such as updating changes and liaising with various departments to implement new changes

• Cooperating with colleagues from various departments to set the needs and requirements

• Being responsible for providing international users seamless experience and consistent language across Allegro

• Managing the cooperation and work with external partners

Who are we looking for:

Required Experience/Qualification

• Fluency in Chinese and English (C1 Level a minimum)

• Experience using CAT tools

• Editorial and or copywriting experience

• Experience with translating between English and Chinese 2-3 years

• Experience working with external partners

• Excellent spelling and grammar

• Outstanding attention to detail

• Must be motivated and able to remain focused

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• The ability to write accurate, unambiguous and concise documentation

• Must be a team player

• Ability to cope under pressure and to work to tight deadlines

Nice to have

• Knowledge of other languages such as Polish, German, French or Spanish could be an advantage

• Basic understanding of agile development cycle and constraints

• Previous experience within the e-commerce industry would be an advantage

• Experience of Software Localization as a QA Tester is a definite advantage
