Job Description
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Develops urban design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems.
Serves as a technical design expert to the project, but generally works through staff to develop and execute design.
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard landscape architecture techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications on projects.
Plays a key role in projects, as a lead, project manager, or critical designer.
Manages a team of designers.
Leads projects that are medium to large in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule and staff are working together effectively.
Manages the presentation and report development for clients.
Plays a key role in client management and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
Post-graduate’s degree or above
5 years’ experience as an Urban Designer Project Manager with large-scale master planning experience with at least 2 years experience in China.
Experience working on international large-scale mixed-use, commercial, open-space and residential projects.
Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design. Master’s degree in Urban Design.
Ability to conceive, design and communicate master plans and cityscapes from a blank canvas
Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.
Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.
Ability to lead and manage a team of junior to mid level designers.
Ability to lead a project team on small to medium-sized projects.
Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite software packages.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.
Excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong conceptual ability highly regarded.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good writing and oral communication skills both in English and Mandarin.
Portfolio attached is a must.
