Job Description
We are looking for a Project and Engagement Manager who will help us build the next generation of Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems able to utilize pre-existing knowledge from data and physics for our office in Princeton, NJ. Our team is part of Siemens Technology, Siemens’ central in-house research department. It acts as a strategic partner to support our executive units with R&D and innovation services, protects the company's intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. The Challenge A Project and Engagement Manager on our team will: Identify and proactively engage with relevant partners in the Siemens AI ecosystem, incl. Siemens business units and their customers to understand problems, collect requirements, assess feasibility and drive solution co-creation Help us advance our footprint in the US market working together with our consulting, sales and product organizations Translate business needs into actionable project proposal, negotiate project terms and budget Validate market potential of AI solutions and develop business models for services and solutions. Drive delivery of complex, multi-national, strategic projects in cooperation with stakeholders and the project team Drive ideas from ideation to productization with a customer mindset Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer by professional stakeholder management Steers budget and resources, as well as generation of new project agreements. Ensures adherence to architecture, design, quality guidelines as well as product security and product safety topics. Supports cross-functional collaboration within the team and beyond. Ensures transparency on work items and progress in team. Communicate complex technology topics to non-experts Prepare communication material for our team and your projects The Candidate Qualified candidates will have/be: Graduated with a BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, or have work experience in the field of AI Minimum 3 years of experience in translating business needs into technical requirementsg., as an AI Engineer, Consultant, Business Developer or Technical Project Manager Expertise in Industrial Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Data Management and/or Knowledge Graphs Experience working in international project teams with strong customer orientation and stakeholder management skills Experience solving real-world industrial problems Knowledge of fundamental software engineering principles and demonstrated experience with modern software development methodologies, like test-driven, agile development, domain-driven design Excellent verbal and written communication skills, additional language skills, in particular German, are a plus. Eager to present your proposals and results in front of a big audience Successful candidates must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
