Project and Process Quality Analyst

Job Description

1. Responsible for support of projects/system enhancements. This includes:

  • Maintaining accurate and timely status on all Financial Services’ projects and maintenance. Including compliance of projects/products to gating mechanisms such as local quality assurance, portfolio management entities, definitions of ready (DOR) and close down measures / Definitions Of Done (DOD).This involves interaction with all various departments, Munich PPM team, and IT (local and Ohio).
  • Running local Project and Maintenance meetings (standups, Director, Operations Committee); which are used to ensure Financial Services deliver all expected projects on time and on budget.
  • Planning of project delivery based on IT and Business Resource feasibility (e.g. test efforts and release planning) together with Business Departments and IT Developers as well as propagating transparency on progress and activity.
  • Ensure a single point of contact for the business and IT unit with regards to IT activities such as planning/execution, training and communication.
  • When necessary, assisting in other capacities related to delivery of system enhancements (requirements gathering, testing, go-live activities).

2. Responsible for assisting process partners with identification of process improvement opportunities. This includes:

  • Coordinate across all Financial Services departments to ensure that all business processes are documented in BMW Group standard tool (Symbio).
  • Work with business partners and senior management within the organization to identify, analyze and coach on process improvement opportunities. Including identification of business processes for automation opportunities (RPA).

3. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for discussions on project portfolio processes and process improvements.

4. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and partners, including but not limited to other departments in Operations, Compliance and Legal; FS project and maintenance teams, IT providers. 

5. Provide regular updates to keep business partners informed of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Process Management Quality (PMQ) related changes that impact their areas as well as develop routines to maintain regular two-way communication.

6. Coaching relevant parties on all BMW group project processes.

7. Ensures with the support of local Controlling and IT teams of adequate reporting and forecasting of IT expenses, such as Run the Bank (RTB) & Change the Bank (CTB).

8. Accompany market demands through the relevant planning processes such as need for change, roadmap, long-range plan and subsequent implementation.

9. Obtain and maintain BMW Group certification for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI Bronze, Silver and then Gold) 

10. Ad hoc responsibilities or additional duties may arise to support the need and priorities within the departments
 

Reporting to the Business Enabling and Transformation Manager, this role is responsible for the support of projects/system enhancements for all Financial Services’ projects and maintenance, as well as, assisting process partners with identification of process improvement opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business preferred) or related experience
  • 3-5 years of Financial Services, Automotive, or Banking experience
  • 2-3 years in Project Management processes
  • 2-3 years in Process Improvement experience
  • Knowledge of Financial Services business processes
  • Experience in project administration and interface work with local and central key departments in IT, Controlling, Operations and Compliance. A personal network to these areas is preferred 
  • Knowledge of annual processes such as Long Range Planning, Need for Change, Strategy Roadmaps
  • Certification for Project Management and/or Continuous Process Improvement
  • High attention to detail
  • High level of accountability and responsibility
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills; including Excel, Confluence 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
