Job Summary

Design Engineer is responsible for the project management, technical design, product management, supply chain screening and quality control to contribute for the local business strategy and high quality service of the OEMs. Project and Design Engineer needs to ensure the high quality of things everywhere according to the German standard, in terms of customer specifications, drawings, BOMs, product samples, new design concepts, quality training/communication/service to clients. etc

Job Accountabilities

Project Management

• Support and be aligned with key account managers to work out the complete technical solution for OEMs

• Summarizes customer specification for internal use

• Clarifies customer specification, requirements, issues and outcome with customer and internal team

• Develop product specification together with customer and internal team (involving KAM) if efficient spec is not available

• Ensures that customer parameter brief , drawings and BOM in ProAlpha/ERP database(for both Germany site and China site) is complete and up-to-date/easy to track

• Supply prototype and make the customer accept the specifications

Technical design

• Assemble and Design product solutions according to customer specification requirement

• Designs and creates concepts and production parts towards customer and internal specification considering program goals in the area of cost, quality and time lines

• Concept development, solid-works CAD design; 3D model & 2D Drawing and BOM creation

• Work with Germany site and follow up the engineering guideline to ensure the high quality of technical design and solutions and system maintains of documents

Product management

• Market research and summary the local product needs of each applications

• Make input for new product development needs for local market

• Work with global product manager to define the good product portfolio and package for local market

• Launch the new product to the market

• Communication and train customers/OEM to spread out ITD product information

• Lead the exhibitions and customer seminars

Quality Control

Minimum Requirements

1.Engineering Bachelor Degree (BEng), or Higher National Qualification & significant relevant design experience (2+ years)

2.Design Engineering Experience (2 Years, solidworks)

3.Fluent in English (Incl Technical terms & written), preferably additional language

4. Project Management Experience

5.Knowledge of common manufacturing processes

6. Mechanical or Medical Product and Application Knowledge is a plus
