Position Summary:

The Scientist will be supporting the LCI Consumer Lead on works in collaboration between Consumer Self Care Group & the Lung Cancer Initiative and on projects that has an impact on promoting the Smoking Cessation Business. The position holder will be supporting negotiations and partnerships across different functions, different sectors of the Consumer business and potential Smoking advocacy NGOs and organizations.

The Lung Cancer Initiative is a cross sector initiative sponsored by the company CEO & Chief Scientific Officer. LCI’s mission is to develop solutions that targets the root causes of Lung Cancer, the vision for the initiative is to find ways to Prevent, Intercept & Cure this devastating disease.

The position holder will be reporting to the LCI Consumer Lead.

Responsibilities:

1. Support consumer lead LCI works.

2. Act as conduit between Consumer Self Care team and LCI teams.

3. Support the influencing and policy shaping work on smoking cessation lead by government affairs and regulatory.

4. Communicate Project milestones and progresses to the Consumer Lead

5. Help to deliver the innovation pipeline, support trouble shooting for projects

Qualifications

？ BS (Pharmaceuticals or related majors); Experience 8+ yrs.

？ MS (Pharmaceuticals or related majors); Experience 6+ yrs.

？ PhD (Pharmaceuticals or related majors); Experience 4+ yrs.

Pharmaceutical related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

？ Good background in pharmaceuticals and manufacturing process.

？ Familiar with drug development & manufacturing process

？ In depth knowledge with regulatory requirements within China

？ Good understanding of GMP’s, GLP’s, latest regulatory trends, and global regulations as appropriate

？ Good project management skills, Able to lead project teams, PMP certification preferred.

？ Strong capability in handling simultaneous complex issues in a Matrix environment

？ Good communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

？ Good oral and written, and presentation communication skills in English.

？ Capable of making presentations to stakeholders

？ Communicate effectively with other departments and divisions within and outside J&J to achieve desired outcomes

？ Ability to influence and negotiate with both external and internal stakeholders

？ Experience living/working in more than home country is preferred.

？ This role requires 20% travel.
