Eaton’s Corporate Team is currently seeking a Property Risk Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Position Overview: This role assists in the management of Eaton's global property insurance and risk engineering program. This involves overseeing the database housing Eaton locations, calculating the total exposure at each location, and working with the businesses and third party service providers on engineering inspections and capex improvement projects. This position will also assist with day-to-day activities associated with Eaton's Cargo and Foreign Auto programs as well as annual fixed cost allocations.. In this function you will: Calculate replacement cost values for buildings and M&E by leveraging the fixed asset systems' data; ensure values are assigned to the correct ledgers/locations Oversee the management and accuracy of the Global Locations Database (GLD) Keep the allocation tool updated for organizational and ledger/location changes, and populate with accurate property values and ratable exposures Help administrate the property risk engineering services provided to operations (site contacts, scheduling issues, IR scanning schedules, UK engineering, jurisdictional objects) Track property risk engineering recommendation completion; provide regular updates and reports to I&RM leadership, the EHS organization and the businesses Ensure Eaton locations that are eligible for NFIP coverage obtain the coverage, and pay related invoices Assist with the global property insurance program renewal Track 3PL locations and associated inventory values and ensure they are maintained in the GLD Manage day-to-day requests and tasks related to the Foreign Auto program. Facilitate quarterly cargo lockbox clean up Reconcile monthly cargo loss cession for the captive Oversee the monthly fixed cost insurance allocations Support expansion and use of the RMIS system; assist with deployment of potential new systems Support the Certificates of Insurance process Conduct special projects, research, actuarial or analytical work for department management; collect and analyze risk data to support management decision making processes. Provide department members and other internal customers with ad hoc reports and analyses. Generate forecasted cost of risk allocations for profit planning in September and actual/final allocations in January. Collect, organize, analyze and display underwriting data needed for global insurance program renewals. Identify and implement solutions to automate, streamline and digitalize processes and tasks. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, data analytics or insurance and risk management. Minimum three years of experience in accounting, finance and/or insurance/risk management. Preferred qualifications: MBA degree preferred Position Criteria: Superior analytical skills, experience managing large amounts of data, and ability to determine underlying trends in data. General knowledge of commercial insurance terms and concepts helpful, but not required. Ability to demonstrate IT systems agility. Mastery of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in financial reporting systems and data output. Must be able to influence others without having direct authority. Excellent communication and listening skills are required. Must be able to work independently, make sound business decisions within the position's level of authority and be able to properly prioritize dynamic work demands and requests from multiple parties. Strong organizational skills. Excellent project management skills. Ability to continuously improve existing processes and procedures and communicate these to others in the department.
