In this role, you have the opportunity to
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute proposal strategies. You will facilitate in a project management role to include: identification and assignment of resources, development and management of timelines with the team and subject matter experts, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. You will team up on the development of value propositions to write, edit, and design the look and feel of each proposal. You will be accountable for the accuracy, responsiveness, style, positioning, production, and delivery of the proposals you manage.
You are responsible for (but not limited to)
Acting as a project manager to work with various cross-functional stakeholders; developing key areas of collaboration with other departments including account management, contracts, marketing, quotes, legal, product security, and technical subject matter experts.
Managing the proposal lifecycle autonomously and leading teams of varying sizes to deliver winning proposals across multiple Philips businesses.
Assembling and leading a team through the development of the winning strategy and proposal themes.
Managing team progress against set timelines and quality metrics; maintaining all related documents, schedules, project calls, and meetings – recognizing signs of project/proposal risk and proactively addressing them.
Developing and coordinating the proposal structure and content, adhering to client instructions, and complying with internal and external regulations.
Utilizing existing resources; conceptualizing and creating visual elements, customized messaging, and content to support the strategy.
Coordinating with production to have final documents assembled, signed, and delivered.
Conducting compliance, quality, and competitive reviews.
Utilizing Lean methodologies to identify and execute on opportunities for improvement within Philips’ continuous improvement framework; contributing to the evolution of our business development and field marketing capabilities by building productive relationships, developing expertise, and implementing new processes and tools.
Acting as a thought leader to share proposal best practices with internal stakeholders.

The Philips GBS hub has experienced significant growth in the Greater Nashville area since the original announcement of adding 800+ jobs in 2017. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Marketing, or a Liberal Arts Field, particularly English
5+ years of professional proposal management experience (minimum of 1 year being government-related experience)
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Foundation certifications preferred
Ability to create an inspiring experience with positive results for our internal partners and our customers with high-level business acumen, creativity, and drive
Ability to demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communications skills by creating proposals and presentations of uncommon quality and persuasiveness
Ability to demonstrate a functional understanding of market conditions that influence the buying process, along with value propositions and technical profiles of proposed solutions
Ability to thrive in a high pressure, deadline-driven, high stakes project environment
Ability to persuade, compel action, and motivate people’s best thinking
Knowledge of downstream product functions, service marketing functions, and the sales process
Knowledge of the healthcare industry (business or clinical) is preferred, but not required
Knowledge of graphic design is preferred, but not required
