Your Challenge The candidate will be responsible for: Developing opportunities and helping Customers in settling most technically appropriate and efficient solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. The solutions to be offered do include the field level, the automation and control level, up to the upper level software, considering but not limited to MOM, simulation, APC, Predictive Analytics, CMMS, Training Systems and Object Oriented Engineering. Understanding technical and commercial requirements for complex solutions from EPC contractors and Project Companies. Driving Customer meetings and portfolio presentation, providing support during the technical meeting and negotiating valuable propositions. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information. Preparing technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/Global approval processes; participating in the kickoff meeting organized by the project team, risk assessment meeting and Lessons-learnt meetings. Defining cost for the proposed solution together with Engineering and Procurement Dept; learning from the real cases, in order to improve and refine the approach for a correct estimation of the offer elements. Performing quality checks and sticking to the approvation rules, reporting to Business Segment Lead Italy; Supporting and participating in international projects, cooperating with the HQ and with other countries involved Being part of the whole Process Automation Solutions Team, interacting proactively with the colleagues along the value-chain (proposal > project management > execution > after sales service) What you need to bring with you You should already have significant experience in proposal and execution of process automation projects, together with: Good knowledge of the process industries, mainly chemical, Oil & Gas, pharma, F&B and water. From the technological point of view, it is required a deep knowledge in hardware and software engineering related to Siemens PCS7 and DCS systems from other vendors. Openness/Ability to learn: Digitalization will be more and more a game changer and it is therefore required to be open to learn innovative portfolio elements. Proven experience in Analyzing Customer/Project Requirements and related Terms and Conditions and subsequent involvement of all the corresponding experts (Engineering, Project Management, Export Control, Compliance, Purchasing, Tax, etc.) Excellent Customer Focus: Cooperate with the customer in order to identify the real needs, beyond the written specifications, in order to provide a tailored solution and generate a competitive advantage for the customer Continuous Improvement attitude Team player ability, strong communication & interpersonal skills; Fluency in English and in Italian Ability to work in a changing environment Effective collaboration in networks across businesses and functions Being a role model for openness and inclusiveness as a non-negotiable cultural element Eligibility to work in Italy What can we further offer?
