The role

Purpose

Reporting to the Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for the access strategies for part of AstraZeneca`s portfolio, including national tendering processes, public health policies, public acquisitions, development of partnerships with local and regional authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner extensively with Market Access, Government Affairs & Policy, Alliance & Advocacy, Commercial and Medical teams across the organization to ensure access goals in line with AstraZeneca business priorities
• Work in collaboration with cross functional teams internally to develop timely market access strategies for products in scope
• Prioritize partnerships to address HC challenges and inefficiencies in the areas with the highest benefits for patients
• Cross-functional collaboration with Medical and Commercial to understand the need and provide support to achieve access and contribute to awareness campaigns
• Ensure the presence of eligible products in national tendering
• Develop reimbursement strategies for specific products to support best market access outcomes
• Represent company in specific working groups from business associations and in interactions with related authorities
• Search, develop and implement new partnerships with external organizations to deliver the relevant therapeutical areas and patient centric healthcare solutions with the objective of improving patient access, patients’ outcomes and HC system sustainability and resilience
• Identify, understand and capture payer/stakeholder profiles, needs, environment and trends
• Drive specific products reimbursement analysis and recommendation, ensuring alignment with product value proposition, and local regulations
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of access and funding pathways
• Provide detailed assessment on healthcare budget and reimbursement contracting options
• Monitor environment and practices for shifts in trends or behaviors, interprets likely impact and suggests appropriate actions

The profile

• University degree
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry or in the broader healthcare system;
• Solid understanding of the healthcare/reimbursement environment, tendering process  and its stakeholders; knowledge of Romanian legislative policies relevant for job responsibilities would be a distinctive advantage;
• Proud to serve patients and consider them in every decision you take.

• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills;
