Public HighSchool AP Seminar & IB TOK Teacher Job Description:
1.Location: Beijing city, China.
2.Contract Term: one academic year, Feb, 2027 - Feb, 2028.
3.Students Age: 16-18 years old.
4.Work Days: work on Mondays to Fridays, two days off on weekends.
5.Work Hours: 35 hours including 18 teaching hours a week.
Remuneration and Benefits:
1.Salary: CNY30,000 - CNY40,000 monthly including housing allowance.
2.Holidays: full paid 11 days Chinese public holidays.
3.Vacation: full paid two months vacation.
4.Airfare Allowance: CNY15,000 a year.
5.Insurance: high-end commercial insurance provided.
6.Work Visa: yes.
Requirements:
1.Native English speaker.
2.Master’s degree or above.
3.At least 2 years of high school teaching experience, with AP Seminar or IB TOK curriculum teaching experience preferred. Candidates with English Literature, Humanities or Social Science background are welcome.
Job Brief
This course focuses on reading, academic writing, research and presentation skills. AP Seminar is commonly regarded as an extension of English Language Arts. IB TOK (Theory of Knowledge) emphasizes critical thinking.
