General Teaching Position: Foreign ESL teacher

offers a large variety of teaching positions in many parts of China (E.g. Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Chengdu, etc) Wherever possible, we will match you to a specific job suited for your skills. We need teachers trained for:

kindergarten
primary school
secondary school
high school
college and university

We also need more than just teachers of English. Teachers of Science, Music, Art, Sport, History, AP, A-level, VCE are all required.

General Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver English lessons or for other subjects, lessons taught in English;
Prepare and retain appropriate teaching plans and exam materials;
Either to give lessons focusing on English speaking, reading, writing and listening or give lessons in English on a specific subject using an appropriate level of English language;
Maximum teaching hours: 20 per week (Monday to Friday);
Must be willing to become involved with the life of the school.

Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent. A postgraduate degree is optional and will enhance your conditions of employment;
At least two years teaching experience;
Excellent level of spoken and written English;
Possess an English language qualification such as TESOL, TEFL, ESOL, CELTA;
Other specific subject teaching certificate.

Compensation
Monthly salary 7,000+ (in RMB yuan) depending on qualifications and experience
Free furnished accommodation (excluding utilities) with cooking facilities and private bathroom

11 days public holiday per year, plus school breaks;
Reimbursed fees for work visa, residence permit, and obligatory medical check-up.

While Haida is based in Hangzhou, teaching for Haida provides the chance to work and live in some of the most historically and culturally important places in China. These include position in Ningbo, Chengdu, Shenzhen, etc.

There is an annual awards ceremony for outstanding teachers and those who have made significant contributions to Haida International. Under Chinese law, all teaching contracts are only for one year at a time but can be extended through mutual agreement. Many of our teachers extend their contracts.
