About The Role:
We are looking for a new Publishing & Media Manager (QA), who would assure quality of deliveries coming from Publishing and Media services, consisting mostly of DTP, multimedia and E-learning projects. All of the above to meet satisfaction of internal clients. You would build know-how and plan QA resources, processes and tools to achieve their optimal utilization and seamless production.
Responsibilities:
- Manage work of internal Publishing and Media QA team (around 40 team members based in Czech Republic, Argentina, India and China).
- Lead and inspire local QA Leads and their teams. Help them share vision, goals, experience and best practices.
- Support P&M coordinators and managers from production teams to ensure timeliness and quality of the QA team’s deliveries.
- Participate on annual budget creation, monitor team utilization and suggest appropriate actions to help achieve global financial objectives.
- Plan local’s team capacity, resource allocation and outsourcing to optimize utilization.
- Set performance goals, which are in alignment with the long-term goals.
- Design Publishing & Media’s QA processes, manage continuous process improvements and ensure quality control for all outputs.
- Maintain and develop knowledge in area of Quality Assurance with a stress on publishing and media services (mainly DTP, E-Learning and multimedia).
- Actively participate on customer meetings, visits and negotiations (on-site or off-site).
- Contribute to proposals of production model to internal clients.
- Oversee personnel functions of the staff, including recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with team management – you will be managing international team of 40 people
- 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance (ideally in DTP or multimedia environment)
- Experience in localization industry is advantage, but not a must
- Fluent English (C1) – we are an international company so English is our business language
- Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, positive and can-do approach
- Ability to prioritize workload and motivate team
- Basic Analytical Skills - Forecasting, Budgeting and Metrics (experience in PowerBI is a plus)
