Job Overview
Procurement is one of the most fast-paced, cost-conscious and international departments at DTNA.  As a member of the department of Procurement Trucks and Buses (TP/G) team you will gain valuable experience and knowledge cross-functionally.  Our vision is the establishment of a global, sustainable and value added procurement organization with highly-trained and effective employees.  This position is responsible for the strategic coordination of cost improvement (CCI) activities within the Cab team.
 
Responsibilities
- Represent TP/G4 Cab Purchasing as part of the cross-functional CCI Team, providing Purchasing input into engineering/supplier cost improvement idea generation and implementation. 

- Assure proper communication among Engineering, CCI Team, Change Over, Purchasing and other relevant departments regarding supplier selection requirements, quoting activities, contract status, part volumes and supplier/commodity strategies.

- Track and report the status of commercial initiatives and drive them to completion, including presentation for cross functional management approval.

- Prepare and align Purchasing management on critical CCI topics for regular cross functional meetings.

- Support internal and supplier workshops to drive cost improvement idea generation.
 

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience required

- An attached resume is required

- Demonstrated communication skills involving complex issues across groups and levels and ability to drive multiple projects required


- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities required


- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency required


- Knowledge of business and economic issues, cost structures and contracts, commodities and suppliers in local and global markets preferred
