Purchasing Coordinator

Based within the finance department, you will work closely with all purchasing areas, and you will assist the Purchasing Manager in liaising between the hotel and suppliers. You will assess vendors, negotiate new deals and renegotiate expiring contracts, and place orders for products and services.

  What you will be doing:
• Inspect/quality control of goods and services received. Check invoices for correct prices and quantities.
• Maintain inventory records to determine if the material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
• Expedite delivery of goods to users; maintain orderly storeroom area.
• Confer with Purchasing Manager and Receiving Clerk concerning late deliveries and suppliers.
  
  Your experience and skills include:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple interests
• At least one year of experience is required.
• Competency using a variety of computer software
