Responsibilities:

• Evaluate various suppliers to achieve the most favorable conditions and rate/qualify existing and new suppliers
• Develop new supply sources and evaluate cost benefit
• Project-based purchasing of control components, conveyor accessories , project insurance ad project service
• Work with forwarder to do custom clearance, arrange inland transportation of sub-systems
• Negotiate price after getting offers from at least 2 different suppliers and evaluate such offers
• Negotiate delivery and payment conditions, service contracts, contractual liabilities and warranty terms and conditions in benefits of project and Swisslog
• Do the supplier assessment and audit together with other departments
• Develop and close framework contracts for the components business (sensors, drives, automation, controls)
• Negotiate commercial contracting and purchasing of commercial services such as insurances and transportation
• Continuously search for new and maintain good suppliers database
• Continuously optimize purchasing costs
• Continuously improve costs and quality of purchased goods
• Maintain strong and healthy relationship with the supplier.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechanical Engineering, supply chain or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the same capacity, preferably in the heavy industries resp. project oriented business, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
• A high level of personal integrity and honesty coupled with positive mental attitude are essential
• Strong planning skills, analytical skills and decision making skills.
• Matured, self-driven, proactive, flexible and results oriented.
• A team player with strong customer focus.
• Strong awareness towards the significance of time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Very good communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and spoken mandarin.
