Job Description
Location: Les Ulis / Montrottier - France Primary Functions: eMobility is seeking a Purchasing Manager- DC/DC Pursuit and New Product Introduction with experience leading global supply chain strategy and sourcing activities. This role will define, communicate, and execute a global sourcing strategy that will enable the rapid growth of Eaton’s eMobility segment. This dynamic leader will oversee the sourcing of emerging technology suppliers that support the introduction of next generation products for eMobility, while partnering with the Inverter leadership team to position Eaton eMobility for continued global scale. Reporting to the Director eMobility NPI, this individual will be the lead representative of eMobility to internal teams. They will use their exceptional negotiation skills to develop partnerships with high quality suppliers in both electronic and mechanical components manufacturing. The Purchasing manager will be an integral part for accurately quoting, sourcing & driving new inverter programs into production. By combining the ability to set strategic vision as well as tactical execution this individual will develop metrics, reporting dashboards, and communication of supplier performance to the business. Essential Functions: Establish supply network and construct value chain constellations that create a competitive advantage for Eaton’s eMobility business and pursuits through fast, efficient and cost-effective flow of goods and services into the mobile industry. Drive global supply chain processes and strategies, including setting strategy and goals, and development of systems, processes, and metrics that will drive the success of the business, creating global supply chain partnerships, reducing delivery costs, and driving speed to market. Negotiate pricing, performance guarantees, inventory and payment terms, etc., to minimize product costs and production lead time while maximizing quality. Travel to key component suppliers world-wide to ensure close relationships and closed-loop learning between vendors and engineering to achieve cost reduction and quality targets. Develop and implement scorecards and processes to enable the start-up, monitoring and measurement of suppliers and partners within eMobility’s sourcing network Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business 5-10 years of experience in material sourcing International sourcing experience for electronic components Proven success growing a supply chain Direct experience negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships with major contract manufacturers. A strong technical foundation, with knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, lean manufacturing and quality procedures. Proficiency in utilization of ERP systems Demonstrated experience using data analytics to improve performance and bottom line. Detail oriented with strong organization skills, ownership, and follow through. Ability to travel to suppliers and internal customers as needed.
