Job Description
Full responsibility for purchase of goods and services within the substantial countries to ensures quality products and services for competitive prices in a timely fashion. Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitability. Active involvement into the Procurement strategy setting and provide expert input to its development. Indirect management of the Purchasing Support team. Ensure the annual targets and relevant KPI´s are met.
Responsibilities
Manages company’s costs:
- Understands AZ business locally, regionally, globally
- Applies category management
- Prepares annual Master Planner and Category, sub-category summaries using AZ templates
- Makes monthly follow ups of categories
- Produces savings
Evaluates suppliers:
- Prepares and communicates questionnaires
- Collects and evaluates results
- Keep supplier’s records (historical data related to client base, performance track record, price lists, etc.)
- Negotiates, renegotiates when necessary and renews contracts and/ or proposes alternative solutions
Prepares recommended suppliers list:
- Checks actual list quarterly (proposes enlisting and de-listing of suppliers)
- Conducts market research
- Checks competition
- Requests and processes feedback regarding suppliers (outside, inside AZ)
Prioritizes the purchasing function:
- Is the owner of Purchasing Policy and Procedure
- Revises the Purchasing Policy and Procedure yearly
- Updates and communicates recommended suppliers list quarterly
- Revises all related to purchasing function forms
- Regular report savings in Value Tracker tool
Selects suppliers:
- Identifies purchasing needs within responsible countries
- Evaluates data, builds business cases, negotiates
- Files contracts and supporting documents
Partners & indirect People management:
- Regularly communicate with the Purchasing Support in the relevant countries
- Procurement Supports indirect management and support
- Prepare a Procurement overview on quarterly basis to inform Head of Finance about the status of key projects
- Participate in the regular meeting and activities organized by Head of Procurement Europe
- Participate in the monthly CEE Procurement Dashboard
Candidate profile
- University degree preferably in economics or similar
- Strong negotiation and proactive interpersonal skills
- Purchasing experience gained in global organization
- Familiar with project management techniques
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Results oriented and well organised, multiple task performer
- Takes initiative to present opportunities
- Great teammate and analytical problem solver
