Job Description

You will be part of the team working on leading edge technologies for numerical computing and data science. We are looking for people who want to play a role in shaping the future of Python for (data) science.

Python has become #1 language for data science, and it is still lacking the performance and efficiency of native languages. You will be playing critical role in changing that by helping data science to scale beyond laptop to powerful servers and clusters.

We are looking for a software developer to join Artificial Intelligence and Analytics division of the Software, and Advanced Technology Group. You will be working in an open and agile environment by leveraging the power of open-source projects as well as the power of a large organization's cross-team work.

We are looking for a numerical computing software developer to work on numerics technologies for Python. Any prior experience with high performance computing, data analytics, databases as well as a knowledge of parallel architectures and system software will be a great addition to a skillset that we need.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be working in a product team performing design, implementation, testing, code review, and creating documentation.

  • You will cooperate with other teams on compiler related issues.

  • You will work with open-source community and customers.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing numerical libraries and applications.

  • Hands on experience in C++, Fortran, Python.


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in parallel programming for CPU and/or GPU.

  • Knowledge of Numpy/Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Numba internals.

  • Experience in performance optimization of numerical applications.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
