Job Title: QA Advisor - DFS

Report to: DFS QA Manager

The Position:

The Business Group DFS Quality function is organized through the position BG QA Manager, BU QA Manager, QA Improvement Manager, QA Advisor and QA Assistant. The QA Advisor is the interface for QA product information, statements, questionnaires and other Quality related questions and issues to customers.

In general the QA Advisor reports hierarchical to the BU QA Manager, occasionally to other QA Managers.

Key tasks and deliverables:

• To monitor and decide (release or reject) on quality of raw materials, intermediates or products based on requirements, results of analysis according procedures

• To forward complaints to the responsible person and monitor timely response and corrective action.

• Responsible to maintain Kosher / Halal status of products, production facilities and raw materials.

• Establishing and maintaining standard, product related documentation within the DFS Product Information system.

• Ensure consistency and coherence of the standard Product information in structure and format.

• Challenge the content of Standard Product Information in close cooperation with the appropriate stakeholders (eg. Product managers, Product Application Specialists, Regulatory Affairs)
• Ensure a timely and correct response on customer requests (eg. Issues, questions, need for Quality statements, Questionnaires etc.). This in close cooperation with the BU QA manager
• Give operational support to the BU QA Manager on all relevant Quality issues/activities.
• Preparation of SAP release activities on (insourced) products, under supervision of the BU QA manager.
• Collecting and reporting of Quality related KPI/performance management information.
• Operational support within small QA projects (to be decided by the BU QA manager)
• Manage the SAP QM data on BU specific products (as user) in close c
  

The Ideal

• MSc - BSc level or equivalent (chemistry, food technology, microbiology or similar)
• Knowledge of the appropriate quality management and Food Hygiene standards
• Professional and technical knowledge of production processes to ensure sound technical judgment on quality issues
• Operational Quality Assurance experience in the Food industry (manufacturing or business).
• Basic technical background on the type of products within the Business area
• Basic expertise in quality systems (eg. ISO 9001; 2000. ISO 22000, ISO 14001 ea.)
• Basic expertise in Food Hygiene standards and HACCP systems
• Experience of communicating to different levels (management to shop floor) and dealing diplomatically with external customers.
