With Autodesk’s new slogan – Make Anything, manufacturing is becoming one of the most strategic areas of Autodesk product family. Currently the Autodesk manufacturing solution includes traditional CAM, 3D Printing, ECAD, etc. The CAM solution combines both previous Delcam and HSM capabilities. Based on the next generation cloud platform Fusion 360, we are the disruptive product line for the professional manufacturing solution provider.

This position is for a QA Analyst who is excited about CAM / manufacturing and willing to join us for the journey of building up an optimized/completed software solutions for industry CAM manufacturing in Digital Manufacture Group.

This candidate will work closely with team members in Shanghai, US and Europe to develop the optimized CAM manufacturing solution. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, self-motivator.

This position typically reports to Software QA Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Technical support in development of short and long term product development
  • Use CAM expertise to help seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities
  • Analyze customer requirements and change requests to create test cases, supplement and improve existing testing where applicable
  • Execute tests to find defects in features or products. Isolate and confirm defects and work with developers to prioritize defects and fix them
  • Validate the behavior of software on a variety of operating systems and hardware, both Windows and Mac OS
  • Log defects in database for tracking and reporting
  • Provide accurate evaluation of software quality and reliability to the team leader
  • Participate in team meetings throughout the product development life cycle Work with the development team to proactively recognize and prevent issues from occurring. Simulate user experience for assigned product features
  • Review and test product documentation
  • Participate to all phases of the release activities, from alpha versions to final release
  • Participate in task estimation process
  • Discuss testing strategy based on business goals and user experience
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and quality across the organization

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree required, MS degree preferred, in Material Process, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
  • Basic CAD/CAM skills and use of CAM software. Expert CAM/Mold design skills are a plus
  • Has work experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Has knowledge of test concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative to solve problems and improve QA workflows
  • Attention to details and excellent communication skills
  • Capability of good time, task, and resource organization skills and be willing to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical background with extensive knowledge of CAM and additive manufacturing
  • Experience in other traditional manufacturing techniques and processes
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software usage or development
  • Experience working with agile teams and SCRUM principles
  • Be familiar with automation and continuous integration tools
