What is this role?

A newly created role to support SDL’s Contenta product suite – we’re looking for a teammate who is passionate about finding security bugs, creating tools to cut back on manual testing and is excited to see their work make an impact on a global scale.  You’ll be executing penetration testing against a variety of enterprise software products, writing automation to help scale security testing, providing actionable long-term risk mitigation plans and conducing vulnerability research. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1+ Years Test automation experience preferably using Java
3+ Years of hands-on testing experience including security testing
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and testing documentation
Experience with commercial penetration testing tools such as IBM App Scan, App Check, OWASP ZAP
Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and National Vulnerability Database
Working knowledge of multiple test automation tools
Experience with context-based, exploratory or scenario-based testing techniques
The ability to install and set up the software in a virtual environment (preferably experience with AWS or MS Azure)
Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
Understanding of web applications: JavaScript, AJAX, cookies/sessions, browser differences, web servers, REST APIs
Understanding of and ability to configure web servers like Apache, IIS and Tomcat for secure environments
Team player with experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related discipline
Intermediate level of English

Desired Skills:

Experience with STIGs and setting up secure testing environments
Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, VMWare
Experience with Git, IntelliJ IDEA
Experience with Jenkins
Experience integrating security testing into CI
Experience with performance testing
Experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL)
Experience testing applications with microservices architecture and cloud deployments
