Job Description

Operating hours: Mon-Fri, 8am to 515pm 
Location: Gul Circle (2-way company shuttle bus available islandwide) 
Reporting to: Senior Manager, Quality Control


Responsibilities:

The QA/QC LIMS Engineer performs the major functions listed below. The QA/QC LIMS Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting the daily needs of QA/QC testing activities. Establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

• Implementation of LIMS to support routine QA/QC testing and release.

• Identify and participate in QA/QC test systems and provide relevant training of the test workflow as required.

• Analyse and provide data trending for failure investigation and troubleshooting as required.

• Maintain daily communications with QA/QC team to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.

• Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Utilize the escalation process to resolve delivery issues.

• Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.

• Adhere to current regulatory requirements to include ISO13485 standards.



Requirements:
 

Education and Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Bio-Engineering or equivalent
Experience
  • Min. 5-7 years experience in lab testing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech industries. Should possess at least 2-3 years of LIMS hands-on experience, being able to articulate and use LIMS apps on new testing methods and events. 
  • Proficiency in computer systems for laboratory testing, analysis and data management.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and QSR preferred.  .

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Proficient in the use of quality tools (eg. Trend, regression charts) to present and articulate identified issues.      
  • Self-motivated, results oriented with strong planning and scheduling skills.
  • Applies knowledge to principles and concepts which contributes to the development and enhancement of company processes.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution, creative thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities. Able to work productively in a pressurized environment.
  • Ethical and trustworthy.
