The Warehouse is New Zealand’s largest General Merchandise Retailer with an outsourcing office based in Shanghai. Due to our fast expansion, we are now looking for high calibre candidates to join our team in Shanghai.

QC Technician

Duties:

1. Maintain a current in-depth knowledge and understanding of NZ product standards and legal requirements & apply knowledge in the processing of specifications & approvals Ensure continuity in all standards across our factory base

2. Conduct audit-in-progress & final inspection on purchase orders according to Quality Final inspection schedule or Quality leader assignment.

3. Perform inspection professionally by following the required standard

4. Review and verity factory products comparing with order and approval sample

5. Ensure all sample conform to wash testing standards and maintain proper test results for each test as directed by the Quality leader

6. Provide technical support to suppliers or detail on consistent failures through the Quality Manager

7. Support the Quality leader with helping suppliers overcome quality issues striving for continuous improvement Maintain performance records and audit result.

8. Report the inspection findings (English inspection report) in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirement:

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in QC Inspector Role Garment construction and technical experience and knowledge

2. Footwear & Textile and accessory experience

3. Travel frequently

4. Fabric knowledge and testing experience

5. Sound communication skills both verbal and written

6. Ability to pay close attention to detail

7. Intermediate computer skills – Word, Excel, photoshop, Skype etc.

8. Corel Draw experience is preferred

9. Ability to collaborate and work effectively across multiple geographies & time zones

10. Experience developing and delivering reports
