This is a role well suited to a Senior QC Microbiologist, you will be responsible for: Maintaining familiarity with and ability to perform sampling and testing of air, water, surfaces and product (in-process and final) for microbiological quality. Independently conducting investigations, identifications and method validations. Functioning at a high level as a leader representative of the group in cross functional meetings. This position is an internal and external department SME. Key Responsibilities → All specified for Technician I, II, III, IV, and Biochemist I plus the following: Developing and performing method and specialized equipment validations → Being able to be a microbiological subject matter expert (i.e. able to investigate and identify root cause and best practice corrective actions/continuous improvements in support of our customers . Bing a recognized leader (by example) that promotes team-work and continuous improvement within the department and organization Building relationships with other departments with a keen sense of Customer Service and professionalism Actively looking for opportunities to improve processes and initiates procedural improvements by leading procedural revision efforts while seeking collaboration and best practices Clear understanding of compliance and ability to support internal/external audits Completing CIAs and attends review board meetings Ability to think innovatively, keeping the future in mind (this applies to investigations, corrective actions, procedural improvements, etc.,) Working cross-functionally with other departments to continuously improve Siemens-Healthineers products and processes Ability to complete technical studies, document changes, IRs and CAPAs This position requires interactions and responsibilities extending outside the lab work that can range from 25%-75% of work time (varies based on responsibilities) Key Working Relationships Both intra-organizational and external contacts. Required skills to have for the success of this role Education Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences. Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the Medical Device Industry Excellent time management and organizational skills required. GMP, USP and ISO experience Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills Excellent laboratory technique. Proven ability to work cross functionally. Strong PC and software application skills.
