Position: QCA (Quality Compliance Analyst) Apparel

Report to: Manager

• Oversee Product Quality Assurance activities in Asia for assigned categories, including vendor development and improvement, CAP process, Golden sample program, and product and vendor investigations.

• Develop and lead vendor training sessions to ensure quality systems are up-to-date and CTC quality program is understood

• Monitor and report on 3rd Party Service Providers activities to ensure they perform at or above their required service levels

• Act as Product Quality Assurance expert with PRO team, vendors, and Category Business Managers (CBM) in the Asian market

• Liaise with Canadian Tire Corporate (CTC) Home Office Quality Assurance team and other stakeholders to execute Product Quality activities

• Execute and monitor the Golden sample program including acquisition of samples and approval by required stakeholders in Asia and at CTC Home Office

• Execute and monitor the certification of vendors for producing private label products for CTC, including the different tiers for brand quality levels

• Prepare and conduct the Product Quality kick off at PRO office in support of Merchandising buying trips

• Provide technical support to PRO merchandisers and CBM’s while on sourcing trips and during finalization

• Monitor and report on high-profile projects to ensure full visibility and vendor compliance to CTC direction with regards to product development, investigations, and corrective actions

• Perform in-line inspection to provide and solution on technical issues.

  
  

  Qualification Requirement

• Must have English speaking, reading and writing skills in order to communicate effectively.

• 10 years and above experience in both textile and apparel.

• Be very detail oriented, particularly to avoid discrepancies and to catch errors.

• Have an education in textile and clothing construction or engineering.

• Understand all types of clothing construction – outwear, woven bottoms, woven shirts and blouses, knitted tee and polo, heavy hoody, sweaters etc.

• Understand pattern making

• Have knowledge of all facts of textile and clothing manufacturing process – yarn, dyeing, weaving or knitting, finishing for fabric, cutting, sewing and finishing for clothing.

• Well understand the development process of both textile and clothing

• Have an understanding or experience with labelling and final carton packing , container loading, final reporting capability.

• Have previous experience of QC inspection

• Have experience of factory assessment about quality managing process for manufacture.
