About the role
Your main responsibility as a Linguistic QA Analyst will be to ensure the quality of translated and published deliverables while working closely with Project Managers and Coordinators, linguists, the Vendor Relations department, and Technical Services. You will provide guidance and support in linguistic quality-related matters and monitor the application of best practices and adherence to established processes in localization projects. You will be identifying potential risks that may affect the overall quality of translated files and implementing measures to mitigate such risks.
Responsibilities
- Recording and analyzing client feedback related to the quality of deliveries and coordinating necessary follow-up actions
- Responding to client complaints (daily communication mostly via email with occasional calls)
- Conducting investigations of translation quality issues and non-conformities, performing root cause analyses, and drafting up corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans
- Preparing job instructions, training materials, and guidelines for linguists and internal team members
- Providing support to the Project Manager for issues related to linguistic quality
- Evaluating project materials and inspecting them for consistency, accuracy, and relevance
- Ensuring the adherence of translated files to client specifications and guidelines
- Monitoring linguistic quality in cooperation with the project management team and third-party linguistic reviewers
- Participating in strategic projects and account kick-offs
Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Attention to detail, time management, good communication skills
- Ability to approach problems analytically, critically, and objectively in the interest of continuous improvement
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate competing work demands and maintain composure under pressure
- Knowledge of CAT tools or QA tools and processes is a big plus
- University education in English, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, Philology, or other related fields is an advantage
