Eaton’s Aerospace Division currently has a training program available for a Quality Auditor. This position would be for 2nd shift. Are you looking to join our team and develop your skills? Position Hours: 3PM-11PM Starting Pay Rate: $18.50/hour + $.60/hour shift differential (Pay rate structure for program is based on required skill and progression) Program Wage Tier Progression: Step 1. Program Summary: This position falls within the FAA Drug and Alcohol testing required. Subject to duty time limitation. For the first two (2) month of the training program the trainee will work an 8-hour day, 40-hour work week, although this can be adjusted to a greater or less time period when agreed upon by the Shop Union and management. This training program shall start at a labor grade 9. Anyone possessing a ASQ-CQI or ASQ-CQT will start at a labor grade 7 and complete the final step to become at labor grade 6 otherwise, the following requirements are required to advance. Skills required to advance to the next wage progression, to be completed within 2 months. Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all safety features and procedures of the receiving inspection department. Demonstrate and understanding the use of computer in preparing and maintaining a wide variety of records and or files on the data regarding acceptance or rejection and of traceability of inspection results. Show ability to use method sheets, inspection method sheets, blueprints and all quality systems documents governing the inspection process. Understand the calibration system and how it affects them. Skills required to advance to the next wage progression, to be completed within 4 months. Demonstrate and understand the use of mechanical inspection tools and geometric tolerancing to measure a simple part and determine if it meets the blueprint. Show proficiency in using all hand measuring tools and demonstrate the ability to set up and layout bench inspections on parts received from suppliers. Ability to setup and operator Micro Vue and optical comparator to measure parts. Skills required to complete the training program and advance to the normal wage for the role, to be completed within 6 months. Setup and complete all jobs that center receiving inspection. Have a basic knowledge of setting up and running a CNC-CMM. Proficiency in programming will not be required to be fully qualified but will be monitored to ensure that the trainee becomes proficient in programming. The trainee’s progress will be evaluated each month by a representative of Management and with a Union representative to assess the trainee’s performance and/or readiness for advancement. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
