Primary Purpose of the Position

• Enforces quality, legal compliance, technical standards of the product, process and material for the manufacture unit center

Responsibilities:

• Ensure product quality meets or exceeds internal and external customers' expectation
• Lead and monitor activities that result in product achieving Customer, Legal and Regulatory standards
• Lead and support new product industrialization
• Provide regional and Global Support in developing & implementing new standards
• Implementation of Process Controls such as SPC in all critical areas
• Establish specifications and calibration standards for equipment (mixer, extruder, calendar, cutter, TBMs, presses, etc.) and provide technical expertise as needed
• Execute activities involving continuous improvement tools, analysis of product irregularities, recommending solutions and facilitating cost down initiatives related to improving product costs
• Develop organization, associate leadership and technical competencies
• Provide day to day support and coordinate different resources from different function to support team members’ daily activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or polymer material or chemistry sciences
• Minimum 8 years industrial manufacturing experience
• Experience in leading continuous improvement / optimization initiatives
• Ability to understand product specifications and technical data
• Knowledge of customer requirements related to product quality.
• Ability to train concepts and procedures as well as influence others
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary technical associates to achieve cost effective goals.
• Equipment design/function experience, along with quality/auditing background is preferred
• Requires strong communication, business, technical, analytical, and planning skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
• Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve manufacture unit center objectives, goals, and timelines
