Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking an Operational Excellence Technician for a 1st shift to join our team. This position is based at our Omaha Power Center facility and offers a competitive starting pay ranging from $22.00 / hour up to $26.00 / hour, based on education, experience, and skillset. Your Role: You will work closely with engineering, sales support and operations to prepare all necessary structural drawings for assigned projects. This could include, cubicles, weldment, bus bar, foundation, and enclosure for complex assemblies based upon customer specifications. You’ll be challenged as you perform a wide variety of activities requiring the application of drafting principles and standards. In this function you will: You will support the plant continuous improvement frameworks and culture You will assist with quality action items and facilitate quality training to plant personnel You will participate in value stream mapping events, audits, time studies, create work instructions, work to improve processes throughout the facility You will lead the implementation of visual controls throughout the plant including floor marking, tier board, labeling, shadow boards, continuous improvement boards and communication boards You will organize the calibration of quality gauges with external and internal resources You will partner quality and manufacturing engineers as needed You will assist with defining and requesting tooling and equipment as needed Qualifications Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing environment is required Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Experience with leading RIE’s/Kaizen/Manufacturing Engineering Capital Projects and other CI Activities in manufacturing environment.
