Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division is currently seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join our 1st Shift team. This position is based at our Pearland, TX location. This position starts at $20.14/hr Position Overview: This role will focus on performing mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections on various materials, products, and processes. The role will also support operations by identifying and analyzes quality issues while looking for opportunities for process improvement. The candidate will work with cross functional teams on corrective action plans to improve and influence quality systems and procedures. The role will collaborate with the Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Manager as needed to provide support to operations and the production process. In this function you will: Perform mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections on various materials, products, and processes (will document inspection results as needed) Monitor equipment calibration logs, complete internal calibrations per defined methods, and coordinate external calibration services Provide process information necessary to determine corrective and preventive action. Monitors Quality Notices Perform containment activities of nonconforming material; material, which may include, but is not limited to the following: incoming materials, production materials, or customer returns Perform scrap and material movement transactions within SAP system, and updates data related to quality metrics Communicate with suppliers on Quality issues and Corrective/Preventive actions needed Verify that controlled documentation, of the current revision, is being used throughout all company entities Assist in the development of inspection criteria/processes. Provides suggestions for improving current inspection criteria and techniques Provide updates and suggestions for improving the Quality system. Provide support during site inspections and audits with Federal, State, and other agencies (ISO, UL, CSA, ABS, etc.) Other duties as assigned When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. #IND123 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Working knowledge of electrical components (lighting industry preferred) At least one (1) year of experience in an electrical or lighting manufacturing environment No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Preferred qualifications: Technical Certificate in Inspection or Quality training Minimum 1 years of inspection and/or quality assurance experience Experience using SAP Position Criteria: Strong learning agility Working knowledge of quality systems, quality improvement techniques, controlled documentation systems Mechanical and electrical aptitude skills necessary Must possess effective oral and written communication skills Familiarity using common computer programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet Browser) Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
