Reporting to the Head of Food Production Department, the incumbent will be responsible for managing food safety and hygiene and quality control of the Department.

Responsibilities

• Manage the food safety and hygiene and quality control aspects of Food Production Department to achieve quality performance targets
• Manage and review quality and hygiene systems, e.g. GMP, HACCP, ISO9001, ISO 14000, and related Quality and Food Safety standards
• Work closely with Quality Assurance Department to conduct internal food safety and hygiene inspections and airline audits
• Manage existing and design, develop and execute new production quality control programmes to ensure conformity of company quality control standards and airlines’ specification
• Organize and deliver food safety training to promote staff awareness
• Drive investigation of customer complaints and product failure related to food hygiene and safety, to facilitate resolution as well as implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Follow up on audit reports and implement corrective action plans

Requirements

• Degree holder or above, preferably in Food Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience with 3 years in management level, preferably in Food and Beverage industry experience
• Proven shop floor QC experience
• Sound knowledge on quality and hygiene systems, e.g. HACCP, ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO22000
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese and English
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and coordination skills
• Able to work independently in a matrix and fast-paced environment

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Quality Control Manager.
