Position Summary:
Oversee and develop the Quality Control Technicians (QCT) so they have opportunity to achieve their own career goals and find their full potential and vocational satisfaction while benefiting the local site, the larger Thermo Fisher Scientific Cooperation and ultimately the customer. This position will supervise in a 24hr production facility with responsibilities across all shifts. In short this position requires the person accepting the role to Supervise, Train, Mentor, Problem Solve, Participate in and Lead a team and Lead by Example.

Responsibilities:

• Daily Supervision: Direct QCT’s (daily supervision) by establishing direction; distributing workload; and providing clear communication.
• Daily Supervision: Direct the daily QC work load to ensure schedule completion while managing utilization and efficiency.
• General Supervision: Assure the orientation process for QC new hires and ensure compliance to all safety, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for the QC team.
• Supervision/Trainer: Responsible for supervision and training of QCT’s on correcting, resolving and closing manufacturing non conformances
• Supervision/Trainer: Develop and train QCT’s on Trackwise, CAPA Management, RCA, RCCM, PPI work procedures and quality requirements.
• Supervision/Mentoring: Develop direct reports by providing challenging tasks and assignments; provide developmental feedback.
• Supervision/Mentor: Develop direct reports by effectively using the PMD (Performance Management Discussion) process and offer clear and constructive feedback
• Supervision/Mentor: Managing & Measuring work by tracking and assigning responsibilities for tasks; set clear objectives and provide feedback.
• Supervision/Mentor: Develop a disciplined QC workforce that adheres to all procedures and Work Instruction Documents
• Supervision/Problem Solving: Improve the quality and production processes by utilizing the tools outlined in PPI (Particle Process Improvement)
• Supervision/Team Work: Assist with customer audits, form control and onboarding tasks
• Supervision/Team Work: Cooperate/Collaborate with Production Supervisors/Managers and Quality Supervisors/Managers
• Supervision/Lead by Example: Personally adhere to the work schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner while assuring the QCT team does likewise
• Supervision/Lead by Example: Personally Comply with all company regulatory requests while assuring/encouraging the QCT team does likewise.
• Supervision/Lead by Example: Personally adhere to Safety Policy, Site and Company polices, QMS, CGMP, CGDP and assure/encourage the QCTs do likewise.
• Supervision/Lead by Example: Display and mentor a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed and encourage the QCT’s to do the same.
• Supervision/Lead by Example: Assist in executing on time delivery and encourage the QCT’s to do the same.
